What started as a simple search for a new sofa quickly spiraled— in the best way possible— into a full-scale reinvention of the home. For our long-time client (who never shies away from a bold choice), this project was about more than just furniture—it was about creating a space that felt layered, storied, and undeniably luxe, with a little drama and a lot of personality. From the front entertaining room to the casual dining area, every inch was reimagined with a mix of vintage charm, statement pieces, and a rich, moody palette.

A once-formal nook now leans into relaxed sophistication. Two club swivel chairs and a bench offer the ultimate coffee-sipping spot, while a perfectly placed mirror reflects breathtaking lake views—because who wouldn’t want that as their morning view?

Goodbye, delicate cherry-and-mahogany set—hello, presence. This space now features a grand, weathered dining table, paired with a striking, paint-splattered armoire that looks like it moonlights as modern art. Ultra-comfortable upholstered host chairs invite long, lingering dinners, while two soon-to-be-reupholstered vintage chairs (courtesy of our incredibly talented workroom) will add even more character and charm.

Not just a living room—this space was transformed into a destination. And at its heart? The green leather sofa (as seen in Architectural Digest), effortlessly commanding attention like the star it is. Our client’s beloved vintage brass and jacquard lamps set the mood, while a perfectly off-centre statement artwork adds a dash of unexpected charm. Layers of texture bring it all together—from a hide rug over the broadloom to a tufted floating bench that says, "sit here and stay awhile." The vintage wall unit got a stylish refresh, proving that old-world charm and fresh perspectives are a match made in design heaven.

One of the simplest yet most transformative updates? The walls. Out went the soft, unremarkable yellow, and in came a deep avocado green that instantly took the space from "nice" to "wow." This moody, dramatic backdrop lets our client’s Rococo and Baroque mirror collection shine, adding layers of history and grandeur. The shift from light to dark was intentional—a bold move that paid off, bringing richness, coziness, and a touch of old-world allure.
